Can I meet the dog/cat before adoption?

All pets are located in Oklahoma and all pets must be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport locations at the next available transport. A few dogs get to go to foster homes out of state, but that would be specified in their profile so if no other location is specified in the profile, they are in Oklahoma. We do NOT adopt in Oklahoma or other surrounding states that are just as horrible as Oklahoma is.

What is the adoption fee?

The adoption fee varies and is listed in the pet's online profile. It includes the cost of transport. Adoption fees are non-refundable.

What vetting do the dogs receive?

All adult dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for rabies, DAPPL, bordetella, tested for heartworm, and given monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. They may receive other vetting such as heartworm treatworm if they test positive. Puppies receive age and size appropriate vetting. Please note that we cannot preemptively test for things like hip dysplasia or cancers.

Can I call someone about the pet I am interested in?

Email is preferred as it provides a written record of all questions and answers that adopters can refer back to if they forget. It also allows everyone to respond as they are able to. Approved adopters can schedule phone calls if necessary but with taking care of many dogs every day, my availability is limited.

Where is the adoption application?

The adoption application is in the profile and has to be copied and pasted into your browser. It is also available here: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176

Can I pick up my pet instead of having it transported?

If you are able to come to Oklahoma and pick up your adopted pet in a timely manner, then yes you are able to. The adoption fee will be reduced by the cost of transport.

Please note that we do not adopt to surrounding states that also have a horrible overpopulation problem.

Can you hold the pet until I am ready for adoption?

No. Adopters have to be available for the next available transport out of here, otherwise the dog/cat will continue to be available for adoption and interested parties can check back in closer to when they are ready to adopt. Keeping a dog/cat here longer than necessary is a death sentence for other dogs/cats who have nowhere to go. Opening up spots is crucial.

Do you adopt to Canada?

Yes, as long as you can pick up at one of our transport locations in the U.S. (Bellingham for the West Coast and Buffalo for the East)

How are pets transported?
